WE’RE HIRING A NEW CO-DIRECTOR

Ever since we launched in 2019, things have been moving at full speed ahead! The network now has over 1000 official members from across the globe. As our community grows, we need even stronger leadership to drive our strategic direction and ensure we continue to deliver impactful programmes. We are now recruiting for a Co-Director to play a pivotal role in our mission to change the narrative for Black students and professionals in the economics space.

ROLE DETAILS


This is a brand new, pivotal role for TBEN, designed for an inspirational leader who can make a significant difference. The Co-Director will join the team to drive the overall leadership and strategic direction of the organisation. Working closely with the Founder and stakeholders, the successful candidate will ensure TBEN fulfills its mission, maintains financial sustainability, and delivers impactful programmes that resonate with our global community. This part-time role offers the opportunity for remote working, though it is based in London.

CRITERIA

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience as an Economist or in related fields.

  • Proven leadership and management experience, including managing and developing successful teams.

  • Clear experience in managing budgets, understanding funding cycles, and financial reporting.

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

  • An in-depth understanding of, and passion for, promoting diversity and inclusion, racial equity, and economic empowerment within Black communities.

  • Experience working collaboratively and making strategic decisions.

  • Excellent organisational skills, including multi-tasking and prioritising projects.

  • A minimum of a Degree in Economics or a closely related field, or relevant transferable qualification.

  • Right to work in the UK.

Desirable Skills & Experience:

  • Organisational experience within a non-profit, think tank, research, or social justice-focused organisation.

  • Experience in fundraising, securing grants, or building strategic partnerships.

  • Public speaking experience.

  • Strong financial acumen and understanding of non-profit funding models.

  • Experience in event planning and management.

  • Experience of working in the charity sector.
